I’m not a huge historical fiction fan but this book grabbed me on page one and raced in pacing until the very end. Everything about Bletchley is just fascinating. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
Forced relaxation with a physical book and doggie/kiddie pool. My district lead librarian position was cut in half for SY26-27 so I’m down to half pay until my 3 site librarian teacher positions start in late August. If anyone needs me, I will be at home focusing on free entertainment! 📕 🐈⬛ 😴
I’m a little late to the party but this was excellent! If they don’t pick Dan Levy to play Patrick I’m going to be very annoyed. Hurry up and make the movie!!! Everything filmed in Palm Springs is golden.
Just finished reading all the new MN picture book nominees for the 2027 Star of the North award and they’re all so good! Glad kids are voting and not the adults. I can’t pick a winner - they are all so good! Not sure how I’m going to read some of them aloud to kids without crying 😭
Slogging through this beast at 1.5x and contemplating abandoning. The first trilogy was pretty good and Reddit consensus is it’s worth the world building payoff in the next two novels 🤷♀️
Can confirm. From kittenhood onward, this evil boy has sought to barf on every inch of the carpet, destroys the tops of couches with his fat butt, and probably related, loves to sneak dry dog food when no one is looking.
This is also not my cat. But she comes by every day to say hi, get stitches, eat food we left out, and might be pregnant. Might have to take her inside soon. My two cats are no excited about the prospect.
Snagged this on a lucky day loan and couldn’t stop listening. Can’t wait to see how they do with the movie adaptation! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
We have a relatively new one in South Minneapolis too and yes, there are all kinds of smut, whichever is to your liking. It’s where I learned about Abby Jimenez’s books which are all fantastic! Also got this “sexy librarian” candle 🤓📚🕯️
So far I’ve added these middle grades to our Fall 2026 purchase lists. They definitely appeal to both upper elementary and middle schoolers would probably enjoy as well. Anything scary is flying off the shelves. Authors, we need more middle grade sci-fi!! I’m too busy to write it myself.
Dystopian for book lovers “two girls falling in love at the end of the world” 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
Woot! So proud of all the 2026 winners and honorees for the MN Youth Reading awards. Over 1000 MPS students across 16 schools participated in this year’s read and vote which our results almost perfectly aligned with the state totals.
Book repair fun Friday on some very cheap bindings of mostly graphic novels. And then there’s this gem that made us laugh out loud: the kid wrote 6-7 all over the inside cover
Loved the book, loved the movie, two very enthusiastic “thumbs down” 🤩👍👍 (time for a reread)
Yep, just finished, my brain is now liquid. This review pretty much sums it up. Made me LOL in agreement.
