A game dev acquaintance of mine set up a Claude AI instance, gave it $100K of fake money, and told it to trade on the stock market to maximize profit. I just checked and it’s lost nearly $30K in 3 months.

I’ve been toying with the idea of doing a credits page on my carrd instead. It would be like a mini gallery with links to each artist. It looks better, but it’s in a separate location you’d have to go to away from the video, and it would be all credits so you’d have to scroll. Which is better?

Question for streamers, artists, and viewers… what’s the best way to handle credits for artwork on VODs? Up until now, I’ve been putting a credit links section in each video description. It’s not flashy, but it does link each artist directly from the corresponding video, like this:

For those curious, here’s a photo of my swiss cheese retina. This was taken the day my doctor said I was out of options after finishing up an experimental treatment that was my last hope to save at least some of my vision. (It’s not supposed to look like this.)

A very unhealthy looking retina. The upper left is punctured by dozens of laser marks. The whole thing is pulled away from the edges and covered in various layers of scar tissue.

A dumb thought I had about Arc Raiders

The classic Calvin and Hobbes strip with the dialogue replaced.

Panel 2: “All of the arc can be classified as either Mac or PC. Wasp? Mac. Hornet? PC.” Calvin says “OK…”

Panel 3: “It comes down to the aesthetic versus utility of each design. Arc without white shells are typically PCs, but the Firefly, despite looking more like a PC, is actually a Mac.

Fucking Reddit, dude…

A Reddit post on r/furry from ManedCalico that reads:
“We Need to Talk About Rule #1

Rule #1 seems to unfairly target female presenting characters, especially those with curvier proportions.

I'm not saying this is being done intentionally, and it isn't my intent to call out anyone in particular for flagging content because of it. Regardless, the rule is at best applied inconsistently in a manner that appears to be biased. I've seen many perfectly acceptable posts removed under rule #1 enough times to view it as hurting the community.

Art should not have to be labeled as questionable simply for featuring a character with breasts or curves, or because a character is wearing a bikini.

Also, characters without clothes but no visible nipples or genitalia is common in furry art and should not be expected to be labeled as mature or questionable, even if they have breasts or curves.
I understand this is a SFW community, but the way this rule is applied sometimes makes it lean more toward puritanical.

Let's discuss, please.”

It looks like BuzzFeed got its dirty mitts on the Chikn Nuggit BlueSky account **AND DELETED IT**. Here’s a screenshot of the post I have cached and the statement that was shared.

“Absolutely devastated to have to deliver this news. I have loved working at BuzzFeed so much but I have to stand up for what I believe in. Please DO NOT send hate to anyone! If anything changes regarding this, I will let you know.”

Hi! It's Kyra. Creator and voice actor of Chikn Nuggit.
I have some incredibly unfortunate news I'm very saddened to deliver.
I will be leaving the show and no longer voicing Chikn.
BuzzFeed is going to be requiring Chikn to be fed into Al for a project and I am fully against this.
It's being done despite our stance against it. It's entirely out of our control and I'm utterly heartbroken.
I am very anti-Al and cannot support this. Thus I am leaving to boycott this.
I am so upset it's come to this and
I cannot apologize enough for this happening.

We recorded scripts/animated episodes before this situation unfolded.

The Al is only being used in a project that none of us can talk about because of NDA but none of us are involved.
I'm leaving before this project starts.
Everyone on BuzzFeed animation team is against this. It's a situation that's out of everyone's hands.
There is a chance I will be given Chikn potentially in the future, in which case I would continue the show as intended with everyone on board. No Al ever.
In the meantime we have to wait to see what will happen.
For now I'll be doing other projects on my main account.
