@markboyd
Mostly here to talk about how to build open digital ecosystems where everyone can participate and co-create (platformable.com) and to share my queer fetish comedy fiction (akamarkboyd.com). He/him 🏳️🌈📚
I do appreciate what i think is @mozilla.org's work in providing an option when right clicking for links: offering a "clean link" copy that removes everything after the ? So much easier to share links without having to manually remove campaign tracking parameters each time
Still thinking about how @coricrider.com said its not so much “walled gardens” as “cock fighting cages” at #MozFest last week
Hearing @ruha9.bsky.social today set me up for the rest of the year and for 2026, to be building and supporting alternatives that help us all jump from the current cycle’s endgame to a new world we are all welcome to participate and create in.
Great start to my first mozfest with @robin.berjon.com and @coricrider.com talking about how to break, build and enforce new digital infrastructure for democratic societies
“Breaking up monopolies is a creative act” - @coricrider.com at MozFest. Fascinating, funny and inspiring start to the day
A post asking for people to call a US senator to reject an antitrans bill got me thinking about this part of the Jewish museum in Berlin. Its a long series of scrolls each listing laws that prevented Jewish people from participating in society. In 2024, 533 antI-LGTBQIA laws were introduced in US.
This is also because OnlyFans is one of the very few platforms that distributes revenue back to its creators fairly and not to the ceo and mngt of the tech platform
Even @theguardian-mwr.bsky.social has been completely complicit in buffering up Trump. More news space to every little thing trump and vance says and nowhere near as equal coverage on Harris and Walz or even on Harris’ work as VP. And nothing in today’s headlines on trumps racism. Just bothsidesing
I use this which i guess is a case? and then carry it in a laptop specific compartment of my backpack. I like having a harder encasement to avoid water or damage risks and i love the color.
Im halfway through most of these. For safety they are in the lounge room rather than bedside
