First off, the album cover has always had me transfixed. You can tell by my ALT text in the last post: "On the striking, sepia-toned cover of Sheila E.'s Sex Cymbal, Sheila's curly tendrils drip over her sensually exposed shoulders and decolletage as she turns in profile with lips slightly parted."

A special promo edition of the album in a circular tin comes with a custom silkscreened hand cymbal and the CD displayed near it also looks like a cymbal.

I'm obsessed with Sheila E.'s last Warner Bros. album SEX CYMBAL. It came out in April 1991 and was the only one she did without Prince's input, but it's my favorite overall. Her Paisley Park records usually had only a single or two and a bunch of filler. Sex Cymbal was stacked and generous.
