These two are the best of friends. Next month, chocolate Apollo, will be 11. Today? Our very loco Xochipilli turned 3. ¡Feliz cumple, Xochi!
Puppies in deep puppy hope mode: you will give us dinner, you will give us dinner, you will, you will.
The virtue of having Labrador retrievers. No matter what I sing—yesterday it was If I Were a Rich Man, the day before, There But for Fortune—they always hum along. Good puppies. Very loyal.
I wear my flags. Proudly. A dual national of Mexico and the US. —inked in my skin. My heart.
Walking is great. I’m a former competitive cyclist and long distance runner, now walking 10-12 miles a day. Can’t find the time? Get a big dog that needs to get out. Long walks with your friend will change your life.
The chocolate on the right is Apollo (who turned 10 in February). On the left, the black is Xochipilli (who turned 2 in February). The two gods of poetry are the best of friends.
Nothing in the legacy or msm. In Mexico? This was front page.
I look at the digital front pages of today’s Washington Post and NY Times. I see Gaza, Tik Tok, inauguration. Only looking at the dailies here in Mexico do I learn of marches across 350 US cities, 100’s of thousands of protesters. This resistance matters. But no reporting. Shame on legacy and msm.
Day 6 of 20. It’s not cheating because even though it’s 2. 💙📚 #booksky
