Garden kitties Sir Paul McCartney and Kung Fu Panda keeping an eye on me while I’m watching the skies for the meteor shower. I sit outside and look at the stars often enough that they don’t find it odd.
This is Sir Paul McCartney, a kitty born in our garden, who was taken to PURRR this morning to get neutered and his shots. He’s recovering in the downstairs bathroom tonight to be back outside tomorrow so he can sleep in his favorite chair. Happy international cat day!
At Runway 84 in Fort Lauderdale to meet friends for happy hour and it feels like a movie set. I love it.
This friendly little ginger makes dog dudes realize they are actually cat dudes and they are overwhelmed with how wonderful it is.
Installed a disco ball in my kitchen and I love the vibe. Hamilton hates it.
Dear Christopher Nolan, now please do an epic film to remind folks about the increasingly familiar events that led to the French Revolution.
This little dude ran straight out the front door today when I got home and I had to drop everything to hunt him out of the neighbors bushes and bring him back inside. Good thing he so cute.
The Portal is in the City Hall courtyard in Philadelphia. When I was there earlier this week I waved to a family on the other side and they waved back. Do y’all know where the other end of the Portal is?
At an MLB pregame party for the ASG and a guy wearing a Marlins jersey when I walked in hi fived me and said I’m the first person he’s seen all week in Marlins gear. I asked who is his fave right now, and he said that he’s just working the event and doesn’t even know baseball. So I’m the only one.🐠
Arthur hiding out in the sushi delivery bag while we enjoy the traditional Friday night sushi feast at the coffee table and watching the Marlins. #gofish #wheresKelly
Tradition for the past 20 years or so on Friday nights after a long workweek is ordering a sushi feast and eating it at the coffee table and watching the Marlins. Arthur The Cat likes to enjoy the scent of the delivery bag once we’ve cleared out the food and it’s a great hiding place.
Enjoying beautiful historic Charleston the past few days and I am struck by the observation that there are no middle aged people here. Everyone is either late teens/ early twenties or post retirement age. It’s incredibly strange.
There are days when Lisbon beckons harder than usual. Today is one of those days.
This installation is in the heart of Ft Lauderdale, a beach town not close to a forest, and it’s flanked by fake greenery. It’s a microcosm of why Broward looks like it just can’t get it together. So many beautiful and unique things to offer and delivering an inconsistent message.
Happy Caturday from Arthur who loves to cuddle. He’s soft and he smells like cookies and clean laundry.
Vanilla brûlée candle in my (home) office this morning is relaxing but also making me want to eat one of those Chatilly cakes from Publix.
Hey #booksky. What are yall reading? I’m 4 chapters into this one by Steven Pinker and something about the message (Emperor has no clothes) feels pertinent at this point in history.
Happy Caturday from Arthur, who loved playing with my sweet nephew yesterday.
I live in a warm climate and I have garden kittens that I feed and care for who are incredibly happy and content.
How do you convince them to cuddle and sleep in? I have one cuddler, and another one that tries to rally me to get up and feed him.
Went for a walk after work and stopped in the middle of the street when I saw this rainbow. The world is full of wonders waiting for us to notice.
