and then I squeezed in ooonee more cute halftone hit for my friend @branta.bsky.social 😸
One last painting, should have gone over the sketch proportions one more time before I rendered but I do like it overall, this is seventhstranger's Pat
Shawn for Art Fight user IgnorantParadise, didn't have time left to get it quite how I wanted it but the character is cute :)
Jumping back to halftone after the painting streak. This hit on Frenk belonging to MorganMackerel makes me so angry (joking) because I think this is my favorite texture result I've ever gotten in all the time I've been trying to emulate comic pages, but I can't show this subject matter to everybody
And after that I went for old nun yuri because I love old gay people, for Art Fight user EerieDragone, yes it's Conclave nah I never watched it personally
Cuter and more stylized painting of a character belonging to Art Fight user Flywork_Sark :)
Skipping order for a moment because these were both attacks on @ninetalesdotedu.bsky.social just since I love Pokemon especially Espeon and I love Better Call Saul especially Chuck. Also the difference in sketchy half-rendered vs. fully painted after getting warmed up over the next few attacks lmfao
Okay here's a gronckle named Eepy for Art Fight user Bookofdragons, because I had a dynamic density halftone brush I wanted to play with. So there's a separated pic as well, to show off the gradients of each color
Next was @timesnewnorman.bsky.social's Osgood, which was my first halftone attack for this year but after this point I spent a little time making my own actual halftone brushes, and I will post those attacks a bit later...
But then I attacked my bestie @coyotesick.bsky.social with Ziggy and Wyatt :33
Kind of forgot to make an Art Fight thread so I'll start it under here, thing is my first attack was on "Male Pattern Baldness" in which case we were invited to draw our own oc balding. So this is my character David as prompted by AF user aerospaze
Yeah, leather and denim jackets and vests with a wing motif are absolutely a classic, and it could still have 3d wings. I think of this eagle jacket from a 1977 skit
lol I do read them eventually, I haven't done this but it sounds like a fun idea. Trevor especially...
I didn't say anything 'cause I don't know what I want to draw for it but I had a birthday episode a couple days ago
The only thing I love more than anti-drug PSAs being programmed into pinball machine DMDs is anti-drug PSAs being programmed into pinball machine DMDs with a grammatical error
I'm going to see an early screening tonight and I don't know if I'm going to make it. But dig this painting process. The Tap consumes me
Thinking of changing Nash into a woolly breed, among other tweaks
I don't know when I'll get around to finishing this so better to share a rough draft than to wind up forgetting about it
