Just booked a trip to London for the week after Christmas. It’s group travel, with enough free time for me to see a few key places, like Covent Garden and Westminster Abbey. I’m thrilled! I love London so much!

I made this graphic, but I can’t truly take credit for it. It is directly copied from something my Bio teacher drew on the board in the fall of 1987. I’ve used something like this in all my Bio classes since 1995. Now it’s digital!

Last month, the Env-Sci classes did a “Leaf Identification” project. On their test, I asked them to ID 2 trees they observed for the project. A student called me over during the test and said, “I don’t know what kind of trees they were. I only identified the leaves.”

Got to hang out at the High Line and The Little Island today with the STEM Club!

Found a new Japanese market in Astoria! Got some matcha Kit-Kats. Next time, I’ll check out the sushi. (Full disclosure: I would have tried the sushi today if I had not had a long subway ride ahead of me. Insulated bag next time!)
