I'm probably not qualified to lecture a corporation. But what killed FF's identity was corporate greed. It's not whether it should be turn-based or real-time action (my preferences lean turn-based). SE regularly chased graphical fidelity & profits instead of actual gripping, engaging experiences.

If they're still actually working on it, I'm not actually against it. But I unfortunately can't just audition for things I wish I could work on. I audition a lot for things that get E-mailed my way, and that's all I can do. If you know a casting director, feel free to point them in my direction.

Canadian dubs gave us extremely memorable experiences with Gundam, and a surprisingly decent localization of the original Pretty Cure. I'm kinda bummed that a Canadian dub exists for the recent show Behind the Supermarket, Smoking With You but that it's not available to hear in my region.

Final Fantasy is the franchise I have had the longest vested interest in. I've talked about these before, and I know they cause fights. But to this day I still think XIII remains the worst (despite many who have attempted to rehabilitate its reputation over the years) and IX is the clear best.

I think I liked the overall cast of Zero-One better than Geats. Neither are really my favorite Kamen Rider, but if I had to pick which one's cast was more memorable, it's definitely Zero-One.

I mentioned before that I'm probably not as well-read in manga as lots of other people. I only dabble in so much. So the things I like are almost never recent. But my biggest are Fist of the North Star, any number of CLAMP series but maybe Chobits in particular, and I guess Initial D, among others.

This is so gross. "Think you're better than AI or know who is well now is the time!" Using AI to taunt artists into handing over free art, designing a character for the event for free with basically no compensation except a table in next year's artist alley and the con keeps that character, yuck.

You know, I played through Skyrim so long ago that I genuinely don't remember which I chose as I think they both seemed about as equally undesirable to me, and in looking up what other people think about it, it seems like I'm hardly the only one.

I am surprised at how often I am asked this despite the fact that I don't think I've worked on it in probably over a decade. It's really time-consuming. I didn't know that I would go back to it unless I had almost nothing else going on.

Hmm, no, I don't think "regret" is quite the right word for it. It isn't as though I didn't come out of it with lifelong friends. Some will argue that because SOME good things happened that we shouldn't be mad at bad things that DID happen, which I think is kinda horseshit.

Hmm, I feel like my brain isn't doing a very good job of pulling out a single-season anime that should have kept going. Final Fantasy Unlimited stopped very suddenly in the middle of its story. I would be interested in seeing how it was supposed to have ended, but frankly it ended because it sucked.

I'd be willing to bet there's good arguments to be made for either one, but I don't think I know enough deep cut nerdy details about either one to be able to give a good argument in either direction.

I cannot get into Jujutsu Kaisen. Maybe I've just seen too many shonen anime at this point, so it just doesn't surprise or impress me. But also, I kinda feel like characters explain things entirely too much during action set pieces, maybe? I often just want them to stop talking.
