After about 14 hours on the train today I am very nearly home 😮💨 Here’s a nice video of the eucalyptus trees looming out of the fog this morning
There was a magic act by Mr Marmalade, and a sideshow performance by Vlad (which I didn’t get a photo of)
There was a crazy good circus act by a performer whose name I didn’t catch and can’t find at the moment, the strength, balance and control has really inspired me to get back to doing hand stand practice
Ok the show was fantastic, it was at the Speakeasy Theatre in Melbourne so if you’re ever here do check it out! (they do allow photography of the performances!) Myra Magdelene was the MC for the night and sang beautifully, did a fantastic burlesque performance, and had THREE whole costume changes!
The above link is to a different collection which has the letters digitised and available online (or some of them at least) the exhibit also made up the memorial plaque that Moonlite described in one letter which was never made
Today I have been to the NGV to look at the Australian paintings, one of my faves is A spring morning near Fernshaw by Isaac Whitehead, some detail shots here but I do recommend looking up the painting, its so beautiful
Yesterday at the museum I went to their Rome exhibit, which was very cool, I didn’t take many pictures but I did get a short video of the roman bath installation, which was a very relaxing spot to sit (video of moving light projected on the floor to mimic water, audio of recorded voices in latin)
Took the city circle tram around to Carlton Gardens so I could walk to the Museum
I went and got a gelato after the workshop and then back to my room to finish the horsie, I added little legs and some markings in white
Late in the day I found an evening workshop to learn needle felting, so i signed up, and it was great! I only stabbed myself maybe a dozen times!
Wandering around to buy some new shoes and found this bit of environmental storytelling 😂

This was a tricky one, the first three quarters I got first try, the last two moves took me a couple of weeks to worth through 😂 (it’s pretty scary all the way up there!) [video of me doing a bouldering problem on black holds, it is a slab climb finishing with a splits]
