HLSP Update: QLP calibrated light curves from TESS full frame images for Sector 104 are now available at MAST. This Sector adds 1,152,719 targets derived from 200 second cadence FFIs. archive.stsci.edu/hlsp/qlp

Sky projected plot of the Sectors 83-97 footprints on the sky. Each footprint is shaded a different color to stand out compared to others. Right ascension is along the x-axis and declination is along the y-axis. The biggest gaps in coverage occur approximately between 0 and +50 degrees declination, and along right ascension 23 to 5 hours. The x-axis spans from 24 hours to 0 hours (a reversed axis) and the y-axis spans from approximately -80 to + 80 degrees.

New HLSP: Terry Hubble Observations of Roman (THOR) early-release catalog of point sources in the Roman Galactic Bulge Time Domain Survey footprint. Multi-passband photometry and astrometry (ACS+WFC3, F606W+F814W) cross-matched to HST-WFC3IR and Gaia DR3 where available. archive.stsci.edu/hlsp/thor

This two-panel figure shows, on the left; the color-magnitude diagram (CMD) for four of the early-release fields (HD16, HD70, HD98, and HD138). The stars in each of these four CMDs are in different positions in color and magnitude-space, largely due to the differential reddening and extinction along these sight lines toward the galactic bulge. On the right; the CMD of stars in the HD138 field, along with cross-identified Gaia DR3 stars (colored by Gaia G mag). The right-panel demonstrates the vast difference in detection efficiency and limiting magnitudes between Gaia DR3 and HST, where Gaia extends down to F814W of ~19.5, the HST detections extend to F814W of ~24.

HLSP Update: JWSTSTARS adds epoch photometry for the RR Lyrae population in WLM, and pulsation parameters for sources cross-matched with HST data. These include pulsation type; HST-derived periods; filter-wise amplitudes and mean magnitudes in F090W and F150W. archive.stsci.edu/hlsp/jwststars

Period-Amplitude diagrams for the JWST-HST cross-matched RR Lyrae sources in the F090W (left) and F150W (right) filters. Fundamental mode type pulsators (RRab) are shown in blue, while first-overtone type pulsators (RRc) are shown in orange. The two populations split into distinct regions of the diagram, with RRab sources having larger periods and spanning a larger range of amplitudes, while RRc sources sit in a lower-period, lower-amplitude region of the parameter space. The periods are filter-independent, measured in days, and presented on a base-10 log scale. The period axis (horizontal) ranges from log(P)=-0.5 to -0.2 on both diagrams. The amplitudes in the F090W filter are larger than those of the F150W filter, and are presented in magnitudes. The amplitude axis (vertical) in the F090W filter ranges from approximately 0.1 to 0.7 mag, while the F150W ranges approximately from 0.05 to 0.4 mag.

HLSP Update: TESS-SPOC calibrated light curves and target pixel files from TESS full frame images for Sector 85 are now available at MAST. This Sector adds 159,996 targets derived from 200 second cadence FFIs. archive.stsci.edu/hlsp/tess-spoc

A histogram showing the number of targets per 0.25 magnitude bin from three different categories: two-minute targets (in dark blue), FFI-included targets (in light blue) and FFI field star targets (in red). The two-minute targets are primarily between TESS magnitude 8-12 and the maximum bin count is approximately 1000. The FFI-include targets have a more strongly peaked distribution centered on TESS magnitude 11 and at the maximum bin count is approximately 6500. The FFI field star targets also follow a strongly-peaked distribution centered at TESS magnitude 12.5 and have a maximum bin count size of almost 16000.

HLSP Update: PHANGS-CAT has built an integrated dataset for multi-phase, multi-scale studies of star formation. Data Release 5 (DR5) provides HST photometry with improved estimates of age, mass, and reddening, across the full sample of 38 PHANGS-HST spiral galaxies. archive.stsci.edu/hlsp/phangs/...

New HLSP: TARS provides systematics-corrected light curves and Lomb-Scargle periodograms for 39 million star-sector combinations (7.5 million unique stars) observed by TESS between Sectors 1 and 96. This dataset was used to measure rotation periods from >1 million stars. archive.stsci.edu/hlsp/tars

HLSP Update: Scylla adds 1.5 million new stellar SED fits and dust maps for 60+ fields across the SMC and LMC. SED fits provide stellar mass, age, distance, metallicities, and dust properties. Parsec-scale dust maps provide 10x higher resolution than existing maps. archive.stsci.edu/hlsp/scylla

New HLSP: SKYSURF combines 143,914 Hubble ACS/WFC, WFC3/UVIS, and WFC3/IR images from 2002-2020 to probe the extragalactic background light (EBL) at an unprecedented scale. archive.stsci.edu/hlsp/skysurf (1/2)

Sky coverage of SKYSURF's 38,027 single-visit mosaics. This is an Aitoﬀ Equatorial projection. Each black point, which are scattered throughout the diagram, represents the location of one single-visit mosaic. The regions shaded grey represent the areas filtered out of the multi-visit analysis: they form a "horseshoe" shape across a range of latitudes longitudes. Visits excluded from the multi-visit analysis are indicated by colored points: purple points indicate that a visit was filtered out due to being too close to a known bright source, blue points indicate that a visit was filtered out due to its location relative to the Milky Way's disk, and orange points indicate that a visit was filtered out due to its location relative to the Milky Way's bulge.

This figure shows an example of a TEQUILA lightcurve (flux vs time) of the dwarf nova ASASSN-15nl (TIC 1000887074) extracted from TESS Sector 16. The transient’s superoutburst (jump in brightness a few days from the start of the lightcurve) brought the source into the detectable range, after which it dims gradually into a sinusoid pattern and drops off from there.

The stars in the HALO-TESS sample are color-coded by the number of available TESS sectors, with their sizes indicating their apparent V-band magnitudes. A majority of the HALO-TESS targets land from absolute V magnitudes of 2.5 to -6 and B-V colors from -0.5 to 0.25, although a few targets populate unique areas of parameter space.

On a white background, mostly black points form a tight curve with quasi-periodic rises and falls, representing the source star's brightness as it changes with time. A few cyan points are in the sequence as well, which represent data points with quality issues.
