If you're a science teacher and your school encourages you to use Gizmos for inquiry based learning, this is exactly what students do.

I learned from someone who purchased a set of palm-sized leather bound classics (Dickens, Poe, Tolstoy, Shakespeare, Dante, Homer) from me recently that they used to sell these sets in department stores like Woolworths for just a few dollars because there was a time when every middle class family knew the way to improve yourself was by reading. It made your mind sharper, your heart wiser, gave you the ability to discuss things earnestly and intelligently with those who you were perhaps less educated than. It leveled the playing field, it was part and parcel of the American Dream. Less than a hundred years later…
