Yeah! I got it up! Here's before and after, i had to use 91% isopropyl alcohol and like a half hour worth of elbow grease to get it up. It was really really stubborn.

Before a mailing postcard afterimage stuck to the surface of the chair vinyl. It says in reverse something like 'open now'

After showing the surface is restored, but not after a ton of effort.

I was buying new ones from tundra-labs.com but they're now sold out too. I kept all my old frames tho, to test DIY. I pulled the old foam/skin off of & started attaching new materials to them. Minky was comfy but only for winter/cold, smooth fabrics like spacer mesh/lycra were nicer.

A work table with several vr face gaskets shown, a pattern, and a hot glue gun. Debris from crafting is nearby. This is showing I switched out the material for a new more comfortable one.

I've already been enjoying using this base for several years!! skip4d.gumroad.com/l/fox I spent time adding face tracking, a few of my own clothes, and doing lots of my own animations and menu customizations so I feel very comfy in this character base!

A very rough rocky cliff face with purple flowers growing from the crevices. The sea at low tide is in the side of the frame with a cloudy sky.

A smooth tan layered bluff of clay and glacial till bulging outwards and abutting a smooth rocky beach. The sky is clear with a haze near the land.

A sea wall intended to stop erosion is covered in art graffiti with Jerry the mouse and his nephew illustrated with cartoon dynamite. There is piles of very large driftwood all around. The sky is cloudless but sea extends into a haze that makes it blend with the horizon.

A tall eroding bluff of clay and glacial till is crumbling into the beach in large chunks. A huge tree is tilted and primed to drop the distance of the bluff into the ocean to become the next driftwood.

Today's extremely weird sunset due to all the wildfire smoke.

Bright orange sky reflecting on still saltwater. Piles of driftwood accumulated on a pebble/rock beach. A large tree is on the right.

The sun is getting dimmer, still fully visible and surprisingly doesn't hurt to look at to the naked eye. The dimming sun reflects a pink streak of light across the sea. The sky colors are now a soft peach gradient coloration.

Sun is getting even dimmer and the gradient is blue to a greyish khaki color over the sea.

Finally the sun is at a typical sunset position but only barely visible through the wildfire haze. Extremely dim and unusually pale.

Yesterday's sunset. :)

Low in the sky and very yellow due to nearby wildfire smoke. You can see the low smoke haze just above the horizon. There are trees in the foreground, and the ocean and islands in the background. The whole sky is relatively cloud free other than some very wispy thin stuff that might be swirls of wildfire smoke.

Getting purple and hot pink. The sun dips below the smoke line which disrupts the shape of the sun to look irregular.

Now below the islands but before fully setting. It illuminates the thin clouds/smoke higher in the sky and the haze becomes a dark purple. The sea is still reflecting the sky colors nicely as if a frosted mirror.

The sun is fully set, but shafts of light pass onto the particles in the upper atmosphere and reveal shadows of the mountain contour making dark and light paths across the sky.

🏞️🌁🌄

A pretty view in the daytime at Bowman Bay. The sky and salt water are blue with high fluffy clouds and a lower cloud bank in the distance. There is tall salt adapted plants along the beach edge concealing the view of the beach itself.

A freshwater lake (cranberry lake) very peaceful and still, reflecting the clouds and the edges of the forest like a mirror. Fog rises to from the lake, showing the lake water is warmer than the air, so it's moisture is condensing in a low but visible fog most noticeable in the distance.

The same lake but now from the other side of the bank, showing swimming bouys and the forested rocky edge of the shore. Fog is rising up and it looks extremely cool.

A cloudy sunset overlooking the saltwater ocean, part of the straight of Juan de Fuca looking towards the San Juan Islands. The orange and pink coloration paints the clouds in a very pastel fashion, contrasting between the darker grey clouds in the rest of the sky. The beach itself is coarsely sandy, with rocks and driftwood and kelp scattered along the shore.

Forest animal frolicking and harvesting huckleberries.

Massive amounts of huge wild ripe huckleberries in a dense forest.

More wild ripe huckleberries this the a few are held out in DekaWolf's palm showing their scale, they are the size of normal blueberries! The background is very thick forest bushes and more ripe red huckleberries.

A plastic food service tub on a countertop completely full of huckleberries.

Two trays lined with wax paper and the berries are spread in a thick layer to prepare them to be frozen. Freezing them allows tender berries to be thoroughly washed later for use in pancakes and recipes!!

Its taking me a while, but I took a ton of 360 stills at Anthrocon and I want to put them in a VRChat world for more immersive viewing. I have a question tho - I am undecided, should I blur human-faces in crowds or leave them as-is? Here's an example in the SeaTac airport where I blurred out faces.

🌲🏔️🏞️🌲

Any Furtrack folks able to help me w/ tagging corrections? I have 2 Matrices fursuits. The one i took to Anthrocon is all made by me, but is getting tagged as made by the same maker as my other suit. (I think this is because for a short time at other things i wore the handpaws.) But not during AC26.

I'm thrilled to announce that for the 1st time I will be at Anthrocon!! (I've been to many cons but this will be my 1st East Coast con!) This is thanks to my incredible friend @dekawolf.bsky.social who's bringing me along. I'll be this doggy as much as possible, so say "Hi" if you see me.

Matrices is a grey doggy with a white forehead marking and green eyes. She has folded back ears and a big grey nose. This fursuit was made by me and will be worn as a partial costume. The background of this photo is an old growth forest, very mossy limbs hang down from large PNW trees.

Chelan, my coyote character who I have been enjoying the character of more and more lately appears in a comic that is a very rough pencil sketch.
She says as a paw is tapping her snout in thought, "I admire all of my creative friends. They make things I really enjoy." The next panel shows her looking into a computer screen.
She continues, "Even if its not made for me. I still like to see it."
The 3rd panel shows a back view of her head, "In fact, most stuff isn't made for me, and that's kind of the beauty of most art by default."

Chelan appears like she is listening to something over headphones with a smile and closed eyes. She continues, "Some friends are very creative without being visual artists, or picking up traditional tools. Working on a small part of something greater. Making things to read, listen to, experience, taste."
She now is looking down on a mask thoughtfully, "I've always enjoyed seeing what people make with my tutorial content, also. Sometimes more than what I made myself."

New paws for my fursona, Matrices. :3 If you want to make your own: This pattern as well as the tutorial on adding soling are both on my Etsy shop at matrices.etsy.com If you want them exactly like mine shave the toe fur with a 7fc clipper, add 4 inches to the cuff and a zipper to the back seam!

Grey fursuit footpaws with grey claws and white outdoor shoe soling. They are presented on green grass.

A zipper is open up the back and reveals they have a quilted liner to add extra shape and make it easy to slip in to the part my foot goes into, and smooth stretchy fabric to go around my calf to stay tight to my leg. Not super visible but there is an interior snap so i can stuff and re stuff the paws as needed to always keep them looking their best. #furry #fursuit #footpaws #feetpaws
