Seeing very slow moving storms north of Uvalde tonight, with 1-3” per hour rates and noteworthy hydrologic response. Flash flood warnings tagged as considerable are posted here.

Some good news for a waterlogged SE Texas. The precip forecast over the next two weeks is much drier. Yes, it will get hotter here. But we need a timeout in the rain department.

Keep in mind that this forecast period is not quite done yet, but it should be mostly done. How did the models do? Well, it depends on where you live. YMMV, but overall, they were in correct in advertising that a much wetter pattern with higher end rain totals were possible.
Getting pummeled here southern half of the inner loop. Rain rates approaching 4" an hour in spots.
For tonight and Thursday AM, would expect the storms out near Hill Country to gradually fizzle as they cross I-35. The blob in Mexico/S TX seems likely to impact Corpus Christi and points south, hopefully with 1-2" of rain. It may graze southern parts of Houston metro Thurs AM.
