We took the lad to London yesterday for his birthday. After the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 shenanigans, we saw the Stanger Things show. It was pretty damn good, especially if you have watched & enjoyed the series. The lad who hates surprises was double happy one with the show two for the Harry Kane get out of jail card

Enjoyable afternoon at the Bandstand Southsea. Some salsa music and decent beer. Had a sour Vault City Summer Down Under. Lovely Mandarin,peach&mango. Gave it 4. Then Verdant IPA Neal Gets Thing Done. Gave it a 4, and finally, a DIPA Verdant & Track called Flux 6. Lovely, I gave it 4.25 ##bskybeer

The second half is a little better. Got a DIPA out. Another Beak collaboration this time with Oso of Madrid. Gave it a 4. There are lots of white grape and citrus with this one. It's got some quality as it doesn't seem the 8% abv it is #bskybeer

The football was not quality, but my first half beer was. A collaboration between Floc and Beak called Threads. I am finding I really like a DDH IPA. This one has lovely stone fruit flavours. Nectarine bosh. Gave it 4.25 #bskybeer

This was the first sour beer I ever tried. So, I treated myself to another go while on family chef duties. A Raspberry Gose by Yonder. It's got lots of fresh Raspberry flavour with a massive sour kick. Then, just a little salt to balance the end. It's great. Gave it a 4 #bskybeer

We were a Hayling early for the wife's swim lot. Took the youngling for a walk through the dunes. She did her first swim in the sea.

Having breakfast at Old Portsmouth this morning, we saw a chemical/oil tanker. The Fure Vanguard came into harbour with the help of two tug boats. Unusual vessel, apparently, it's home for night is Gosport

We had a day in Putney today. Lovely, a few drinks by the river. We witnessed a few boat loads of Geordies coming up the Thames to Craven Cottage. Because for Pompey fans Fulham is a easy train or quick drive this seemed a novelty but suppose it makes sense if you come to London from the north.
