The weekend is looking pretty good, with slight rain chances holding off until Sunday. Monday PM is the day to watch for some stronger storms (heavy rain, lightning, gusty wind). Otherwise, pretty dry and seasonably warm in my forecast! See less
Friday looks like a fantastic July day across the area!! We’ll start cool and comfortable in the 50s, then warm close to 80° during the afternoon with sunshine and low humidity. Air quality looks good, so it’s a great day to open the windows, get outside and enjoy!
SUNNIER FRIDAY 2ND HALF: Early risers will likely be greeted with some clouds tomorrow, but as the day rolls on, I do expect sunshine to overspread the area from northwest to southeast. Any Friday PM plans look amazing, with temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s during the afternoon.
Hi! A nice little summer stretch is ahead, but the humidity starts to creep back in this weekend. We’ll keep plenty of dry time around, but a few storms may pop up Sunday into Monday as the heat builds back toward 90°. We'll want to watch Monday for some stronger storms in the PM.
Another “free A/C” kind of day is on the way Thursday! We start chilly for late July with temperatures near 50° early, then warm into the mid-70s by afternoon with plenty of sunshine. Winds stay light, humidity stays low, and it’s another great day to open the windows!
Enjoy the break from the heat while it lasts! Comfortable temperatures and cooler nights mean you can give the A/C a breather, open the windows, and save a little on the electric bill for a few days. Who else is looking forward to this!?
Good morning! Open those windows and enjoy the free A/C as temperatures are starting in the 50s and only climbing into the low 70s this afternoon. A few clouds early will give way to more sunshine later, with a refreshing north breeze keeping humidity low. Air quality stays good!
Raise your hand if the natural A/C is your thing! If you're wanting more summer, we certainly aren't done... it's mid-July. :)
Good morning! We'll clear out and enjoy some sunshine today with seasonable temperatures in the 80s. Some upper-air wildfire smoke/haze expected, but air quality will not be NEARLY as bad as last week. Have a great day! :)
Good morning! Some hazy/smoky sun today with temperatures in the lower/middle 80s, which is right on par for averages this time of the year. Air quality won't be TOO bad today, but certainly enough to limit time outdoors if you have asthma/COPD etc.
HI, everyone! Wildfire smoke/haze the theme the next two days, but it will be similar to today. Not NEARLY as bad as last week, but still not great for those of you with asthma, COPD, etc. The main theme in this forecast is COOLER air mid/late week. Overnight lows in the 50s, highs in the 70s.
4:30p EDT: That's about it, folks! If you have outdoor plans this evening, no issues expected. Folks in Central Indiana have a couple hours left, but northern Indiana & southwest Michigan are good to go. Have a great evening!
3:15p EDT: Regular old t'storms pushing through Northern Indiana. If you live in SW MI, you're done for the day. We have another 60-90min left for N. Indiana before these push south of US-24. Once they move south of you, you're done for day. Lightning & downpours.
1:30p EDT: Quick glance at radar shows that line of storms moving southeast. Heavy rain that lasts 45ish min, some lightning and brief non-severe wind gusts. Heads up for outdoor folks! After this moves through, that's it for the day. Late afternoon/evening looking just fine.
5:20p EDT: Some downpours out there, but they're hit/miss. Under the "hit", some lightning and heavy rain. Outside of there, nothing at all. Good news is the boundary associated w/ these storms is pushing smoke away. Air quality is rapidly improving!
6:45p EDT: Hey, friends. Keep a close eye on radar if you are outdoors this evening. Storms are moving in from the west. They do have quite a bit of lightning with them, along with torrential rainfall and some brief gusty winds.
Hi! Looking great for Juneteenth and through the weekend, with sunshine and temperatures in the 70s. A bit cool for many of you... I know those with pools and along the lakes looking for warmer! No major heat showing up through mid-June.
Good morning and happy Sunday! Overall, looking pretty good today. Can't rule out a very quick downpour, but the majority (likely all) of the area will remain dry today. It will be a summer-like day, with temperatures well into the middle/upper 80s.
Good morning and happy Tuesday! Another dry, pleasant day in store with temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s across the area. Enjoy this picture perfect weather, if possible! Changes coming by the weekend.
It's an absolutely picture perfect night for a bon fire. Temperatures in the 60s will cool into the 50s late evening. Spectacular! I think it's worthy of AT LEAST two s'mores... right?? :)
BEACH FORECAST: It's a great day to head to the beautiful beaches in our area. With winds coming from the east, the lake breeze is Chicago/Milwaukee's problem today, not ours. Expect similar temperatures at the beaches compared to inland areas (just a hair cooler -- nothing crazy).
NO RAIN: The pattern we had to kick off spring is long gone. The upcoming 10 days look QUITE dry. No issues right now, but if this pattern persists into mid-June, we certainly are going to dealing with drought issues.
Good morning and HAPPY THURSDAY! Another spectacular weather day ahead with temperatures in the 70s for the most part. Winds pick up a bit, but it will be a comfortable breeze around 10mph. I hope you do something outdoors -- soak it up!!
Good morning, happy Tuesday! The summer-like trend continues today with plentiful sunshine and warm temperatures in the 80s... a bit above average as we truck through late May. We remain dry, so any outdoor activities are good to go! :)
Hi! If you complain about my forecast, I think I have to block you. I mean... what else would you ask for as we end May and kick off June!? WE DESERVE IT!!
Watching the clouds SLOWLY erode west to east. Much of NW Indiana is seeing lots of sunshine, while the heart of Michiana is still on the very tail end of the cloud deck. We will continue to see less and less clouds as we move into the late afternoon/early evening hours.
2:15p EDT: If you're looking for more sunshine, it's in the near future! Clouds & rain are moving away... and sunshine to our west is moving in! The clear sky will allow temperatures to rapidly fall into the lower 40s tonight (NO frost risk).
10a MON update: Here are the t'storms that will impact our area later today. Timing still appears to be around 2p(ish). As these push east into our area, they'll run into a more favorable environment to produce some brief gusty wind ahead of the line.
Heading to the backyard tonight for some s'mores? I'd say it's looking pretty nice! Temperatures in the 60s. It'll be a bit breezy, so keep an eye on any of the embers. However... overall, pretty decent night for a bon fire. :)
