Do I live in Sweden’s fourth largest city or do I live in a movie set, hard to tell sometimes.

I am standing on a little stone bridge over a little river, looking towards another stone bridge in the middle distance. Leafy trees line both sides of the embankments. It is early evening, variably cloudy, and the light is fantastic. The river is clear as glass and you can see everything in mirror image. This is not AI, and I did not use any filters. I hate that I have to write that.

Found this in the European Research Council Work Programme 2027: "Experts will be contracted to support and inform the discussions of the Scientific Council on the use of AI as a tool to aid the work of evaluation panels, particularly when managing large volumes of proposals" (3.1.2, p. 46)

3.1.2 Enhancing ERC Evaluation Processes through AI
Experts will be contracted to support and inform the discussions of the Scientific Council on the use of AI as a tool to aid the work of evaluation panels, particularly when managing large volumes of proposals.
The actions covered under this heading will be defined in agreement with the Scientific Council. Potential activities may include (but are not limited to): an assessment of current AI-based evaluation support models within and outside Europe, feasibility studies on integrating AI tools to assist panels in the evaluation processes of the ERC, exploration of AI-supported workflows designed to enhance efficiency and scalability – in manner which complements and does not compromise the core role of the panels.
Type of action: Expert contract action.
Indicative budget: EUR 500 000 from the 2027 budget.

Semla Season has begun in Sweden. First of the year: a semla-inspired biskvi (gluten-free!). #TinyJoys

This “semla biskvi” has has a ”bun” made from almonds. The cream and almond paste is encased in white chocolate. It was delicious and very, very sweet.
