No one has more contempt for Democrat voters than centrist democrats @thirdway.bsky.social
I thought this election was going to be defined by age, w/ younger voters going for Abdul and older voters going for Stevens, but it seems the dividing lines in the coalitions were more so about class than anything else. Abdul did really well with retirees, but not with middle aged suburbanites.
In the first batch of nearly-complete counties, Abdul is out-performing his benchmarks by about 20 points in each. Stevens needed to dominate these counties and she’s barely breaking even.
I’ve seen enough. Stevens needed to win this county by *at least* 10 points to have a shot, preferably 20+ to feel comfortable. >95% of the vote in and she wins it by less than 2 points. It’s over.
***52%*** of Democrats want revolutionary or dramatic change in the nation’s government
Favorability of Democratic Socialists of America: Dems = 59% fav; 26% unfav Non-White = 46% fav; 38% unfav
How do you feel about some people making a lot more money than others? It makes me angry and the government should do something about it = 30% Among Dems = 46%
Lots of realllllly interesting cross tabs on the Fox News poll today: Which of the following better describes your view of America today? The system is rigged to favor of the wealthy = 65% People who work hard have a fair chance to get ahead = 35% Among Democrats: Rigged = 84% Fair = 15%
worth pointing out the Collins +3 result is among all registered voters, but among “extremely motivated to vote” Platner is up by 9. Especially for midterms, polls of likely voters are more accurate.
