Here's a starfish and some shells. Color didn't really take, but you can make it since purple here and there.
First pieces came out of the annealers this morning. This was my attempt to make Captain America's shield. Used a paper bowl, the bottom of a metal water bottle and a foam glitter star. Getting the color powders in the right places is a skill in and off itself.
Got the hang of ladeling and pouring the glass today. My mold might suck, but at least I got this part down.
The tools of an artist, next to mine, the tools of a 12 year old boy.
Yeah. I want to look normal. Like a MAGA Republican. They all look very normal.
Make sure you sign up for an experience doing a glass activity. We did a glass blowing and also a flamework experience. Made these. . .
I made this needlessly difficult due to stupidity... But I used the weekend to hang my new stained glass project.
It's late, and the light is bad today, but my frame arrived today, so here is my latest stained glass piece.
Day-drinking at the Port City tent at the Cameron Station pavilion. Come check out the Best of the West.
Post a poster that you used to have on your wall. Jim Lee's X-Men were a revelation to this 15 year old.
Hey Alexandria folks. Is this the fancy pigeon that was hanging out at the Metro station? If so, he's visiting my neighborhood now.
Mother fucker posted this in 2024. I'd say it's a bit less ambiguous than a picture of sea shells.
My wife says this Lady Death VS. Purgatori snow globe that plays "Ride of the Valkeries" is cursed. I say it's art.
It's not 1000 points, at least not yet, but I'm shocked that there is talk of a "ceasefire" right before the market opens. Crazy. Never would've guessed.
Not the best picture ever, but that's a Great Horned Owl and chick at Huntley Meadows this morning.
Had some FBI activity in the Station this morning. Not sure what the story is, but according to neighborhood FB page a door got kicked in, weapons were drawn, laser-sights were used. Also love the "officers were present at each location to inform neighbors of our presence."
Dude. There's a hole superhero series. Saw them in person over Christmas. The Thor is kind of sweet.
Saw these around Christmas, and definitely had questions... (I kinda think the Thor and Black Panther are cool).
Trying this post again, as I screwed up the image: I have family in the Minneapolis area. This is a post from one of their friends:
