The Region of Waterloo has been putting in multi-use paths on low-pedestrian-use suburban arterials during rebuilds and as infill, and I think it’s been very pragmatic and effective for making these places more accessible by bike

If Ion rapid transit is extended into Cambridge as proposed, Druker wants regional government to develop an in-house team to guide the extension, rather than leaning as strongly on a private partner.

“I think these public-private partnerships are a bit of a mixed bag, and it really depends on the details,” he added. “There’s a big risk in trying to transfer risk to a private partner.”

Update: making 6% Balkan-style yogurt at home from the 6% milk, pretty good
