A moment of calm for #WhippetWednesday which totally isn't a thing but should be
'What changed from the abstract, and why' is the most Digital Humanities slide ever. So many presentations sharing honestly what didn't work as expected or yield useful results. This one is by Jiwoo Choi (I think) dh-daejeon.vercel.app/abs/65?q=New... (Here, 'bag of words' access was no good)
If I remember to record my talk on my phone, I'll transcribe it and turn it into a blog post. You might be glad to know I took out some of the many emoji kitchen emojis I was going to include
More #DH2026 travel tips - you need an arrival card even if on UK etc passport. Do it online or ask on the flight. The bus from the airport to Daejeon / Daejeoncheongsa was easy to find. Looks like it runs regularly. Google Translate with pre-downloaded Korean and translating photos also helps!
Sharing stats from the UK's museumdata.uk on #InternationalMuseumDay #IMD2026 @icomuk.bsky.social We're doing our part to unite museum records to help researchers, cataloguers and museum lovers find objects across collections. Right now, MDS has c7.6 million object records from 129 museums!

That's @dorothyjberry delivering an incredible closing keynote at #FF2025 Some focusing questions: How do we describe archives? Why do we describe archives? What are we trying to automate?
Today we welcome both in-person and online participants to the first full day of #FF2025! Check out the full programme at www.conftool.org/fantastic-fu... So excited to hear from Rachel Coldicutt as our opening keynote #FantasticFutures2025
In case of emergency, boop the comedy whippet nose! And if you live in the UK, please consider signing this petition to limit the sale of those super-loud fireworks! petition.parliament.uk/petitions/73... #DogsOfBluesky #SkyDogs #whippets #sighthounds
Great start to #KnowledgeIsHuman by Jimmy Wales: open knowledge is essential infrastructure. Every layer of knowledge in ecosystem is grounded in human effort - creating; sharing; synthesising; remixing; reusing. GLAMs, BBC, Wikimedia and us - we can all contribute wikimedia.org.uk/wp/wp-conten...
