Straw builders are often told that the straw is being taken from the soil. Like we are thieves or something. Have you ever taken a close look at a field? In fact for a quality building grade straw bale you don't want to cut too close to the root. There is usually plenty for soil and homes, check it.

Prefabricating straw panels right in front of a massive stack of straw bales. Absolutely doable! This is convivial tech in action. It is already here, simply better: democratic climate-adapted & climate-positive thoroughly modern The future of construction grows in the fields.
A reminder that we in Europe have enough grain to feed the entire population. At the same time, so much woody straw is produced that we could do without other synthetic insulation materials and, for example, gypsum plasterboard and e.g. OSB panels made from forest wood.
Growth regulators are often used on cereals to interfere with the hormonal balance. The stalks remain short. Intensive livestock farming does not require much straw, and governments have often not yet dared to recognise the climate-solution potential of #strawbuilding vs plastics, brick, concrete.
