Today the first copies of my magazine are making it out into the world. This morning Different Leaf took over the W 12th Street windows at the legendary NYC magazine store, Casa Magazines. Today New York and over the next few weeks it will be available around the world.

A local property tax override passed in the city of Easthampton, MA by a slim margin and the side that lost is...calling into question the integrity of the vote counting.

Voters in Easthampton approved a $6.9 million Proposition 2½ override by a 239-vote margin, preventing deep cuts to city services and schools. In a related story, Easthampton beat reporter Sam Ferland talks with override opponents who are seeking a recount. They claim there were issues with the distribution, handling and processing of mail-in ballots in the election.
