When I was a kid in public school decades ago all this was free, or available for a nominal fee. I'm really saddened that the taxpayers have given up in investing in our children because it was an awesome thing to have, something I appreciated even then.
Something jumped out looking at @simonwdc.bsky.social's daily email. Not that this is necessarily reflective about all campaign funding everywhere, but it seems plenty of people have decided there's better places for their money than Platner's campaign.
