TAX THE RICH It’s not just Trump. Billionaires dominate politics more than ever. - Washington Post www.washingtonpost.com/politics/int...
This poster was across the street from the Capitol on East Capitol St.
Losing My Religion comes on the radio and my kid says, "Hey, it's this song... 'Let's pee in the corner'. 🎵"
My band I the late 90s/ early 00s used to play shows with the Dropkick Murphys in bars before they got big. I think the lineup was totally different except for the singer back then. Here's a flyer from a Boston show with them. (My band was/is the goons)
No one ever points out how ridiculous it is to say we were "our richest" in the late 1800s/early 1900s. Most people were SUPER POOR by modern standards. And life expectancy was about 42 years. And people were shorter due to widespread malnutrition.
PEPFAR is probably the best thing the US govt has done in my lifetime. Millions of lives saved.
This made me Google the band and open the Wikipedia page, which says In the Summertime sold more copies than any other single by a British band... Which seems wild (maybe just wrong(?)) considering the Beatles, Stones, Pink Floyd, Sex Pistols, etc. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mungo_J...
I asked Chat-GPT to draw a graph with two demand curves, D0 and D1, and with D1 shifted out and less elastic than D0. Got this thing.
Rocky mountains, last month. My first time out there in years and my son's first time ever.
Here is actual me (left) versus hypothetical Catholic me (right). I picked Catholic over Protestant because I was raised Catholic, but either one swings the outcome wildly.
I stumbled on a paper by Christopher Cotropia & James Gibson, "Copyright's Topography", that reviews all copyright cases in fed courts from 2005-2008. Was surprised that apparel firms were plaintiffs more often than firms in any other industries. #IPLawSky 💡 scholarship.richmond.edu/cgi/viewcont...
