Can’t recall a time where I finished a game’s dlc before the main campaign. Ironically getting through Pacific Drive’s Whisper in the Woods has made the main path a lot easier.
Never expected to see this headline on CBC news….. I am sure it is absolutely terrible but the word explosive makes it hilarious to me.
I am trying to avoid hyperbole when I say this. I just rolled credits on 007 First Light. Quite possibly my favourite iteration of James Bond outside of the books. It would be a crime against creativity if IOI didn’t get a chance to make more. Somehow I think they can do even better…
Finished The Alters just now. Well… one of the endings. An enthusiastic thumbs up. I am glad the game advised against me loading a past save. I am glad I saw the result of my decisions. Can’t recommend this game enough. DLC is already purchased for July. Can’t wait to see what they so.

My thoughts on the Sony Flexstrike… seems like a good controller for a casual fgc player who wants to upgrade from dual sense to stick. I wouldnt play wireless but a cool feature. The easy swapping of gates is neat. Concerns are limited buttons and modding/repairability. Wondering how heavy it is.
On the other end of the spectrum I burned through 7 episodes of Widow’s Bay this week and absolutely love it. It’s horror. It’s comedy. It has great characters and arcs for them. Almost too bad it is a limited series but that is in part why it works so well.
The Wyld Stallyns have declined the invitation to perform at America 250 State Fair, citing the event as “bogus” and “against being excellent to eachother.”
Went to Anime North today and had a great time. Just too bad the terrible weather put a damper on everything.
Short and incredibly sweet. I finished Mixtape. Easily on my shortlist for favourite games of games of 2026. Loved it from beginning to end. Can’t wait to see what comes next from Beethoven and Dinosaur. It feels like a classic I will always come back to.
I took my first step into watching and enjoying 4k movies at home yesterday when I got a new gaming monitor. Christened it with a viewing of the Wim Wenders classic Paris, Tx.

I am only a few hours into Pragmata (hard to get into stuff when I have been constantly sick this month). So far I am loving it. The demo sold me on it but at the same time did not do it justice. I handles very well.
So the weather was nuts when I left my place earlier. Am I crazy for enjoying a walk in a thunderstorm?
Had a great time at the Spring session of Toronto GameExpo. Walked away with a crazy deal on SF6 and Mortal Kombat… so now I can directly practice while on break at work. Also… I can’t feel my feet… or rather I can. Ouch.

I play better on a leverless but will admit that fightstick is the most fun way to play a fighting game. Thing is I keep going to tournaments and wanted something super portable and low maintenance. My current leverless I love… but it weighs 8 pounds and hate carrying it at a convention for 3 days.
So I have been humming and hawing for months on a new leverless fightstick. Finally caved and ordered myself a Cosmox M Ultra Gen 2. Now I just hope my Booter 5 order also comes through otherwise I have a new set of problems. lol
Finished Kingdom Come: Deliverance (Reforged) last night. It is insane how good that game is. Probably sneaking into my personal top ten next time I revise the list. It has everything that I would want in an Elder Scrolls game and I hope Bethesda takes notes. Already have part 2 ready to play. ;)
Just finished Lost Records: Bloom & Rage . I had feels. Cynical reviews again lowered my expectations and I ended up adoring it. Really hope they continue with Lost Records whether that is an anthology series or a straight up sequel. I am so here for it. Now I need a frame for the polaroid.
Been playing Reanimal with a friend and so far loving it. Far more engaging than LN3 and it innovates with its use of 3 dimensions. Visual aesthetics and sound design are top notch. I won’t hesitate on future DLC.
Finished Life Is Strange: Double Exposure earlier tonight. Having my impressions skewed by unwarranted negative reviews I went in with low expectations and left absolutely loving it. Such beautiful game done using Unreal Engine 5.
Just finished the 2024 Alone in the Dark reboot with David Harbour and Jodie Comer starring. I enjoyed the hell out of it and am really disappointed with the cynical reviews it got. It’s not perfect but better than 6/10. I think it was cursed being released next to Alan Wake 2.
Finished Life is Strange: Before the Storm tonight. Loved it. Will save the bonus episode for tomorrow. That final post credit shot is both damn heartbreaking and ick inducing though.
