The front door has been replaced with a UPvC modern door which I don't really like. All of the sashes still have semi original hardware as far as I can tell. Including original wooden shutters. The house is Grade II listed so would have to apply for planning permission to replace
Anyone have any experience with sliding sash window restrictors? Some require a rebate out of the frame but ideally stop or minimal modifications to the window would be preferred. Something like these? www.gjohns.co.uk/29mm-sash-st... 3yo is a flight risk and we can't leave windows open 🥵
On the plus side the turntables got a much needed dust and clean. Now just to sort through the records and decide on alphabetical, genre, both 🤔
First weekend of the summer hols for the kids and I decided I need to prep the front room to decorate. Need to pick a colour and move my desk to the corner I'm stood in. New sofa/sofa bed to find and a bunch of artwork on the walls.
The mam and dad haven't disowned their Baba 🥳 Was so paranoid after having to pick it up.
Back inside so guess that building is out of use for the time being. Knew there was a barn owl in one of the farm buildings as keep finding owl pellets.
Accidentally scared this littl'un out of the barn yesterday. Had to slowly catch up with a sheet as it couldn't quite fly and was heading towards the road down the track. Didn't want to pick it up but wanted it safe 😞
Love cool night to get out for a couple of hours after food. Kids broke up today and I'm only working 6 days in August. Chance it'll be pissing down for 4 weeks but I'm off work.
