Sitting in my stoop thinking about my friend Barry (Mum's Dad) who had surgery last week and is moving to recovery care today. Sending Barry all the love and healing purrs for a speedy recovery!! He's going to be 90 at the end of September so he needs to get well for his birthday!
There's a cardinal sitting on the old phone line outside the window screeching at me. What a bully! Pretend you don't see him.
Mum just found a picture of Gwenie the Wonder Cat, a tortie-calico manx who liked to knock pictures off the wall, well, everything that wasn't nailed down pretty much ended up on the floor actually. She did not like having her picture taken and the humans could not sneak up on on her ever.
We don't even want to see the wildfire smoke that's keeping all our windows closed!
If Dad doesn't want me to sit on his clothes why does he set them out so nicely on the bed every morning before he has his shower?
Mum’s brother found this painting rolled in a tube since the 80s. It was painted by their mother and it’s now on its way to an art conservator to stabilize the brittle paper for framing.
