She/Her #Gouachetober I’m a software engineer that loves painting nature with watercolor and gouache. 🎨
I checked out some neat art books recently from the library. I’ve reading these before bed, and find some fun pages to do studies of. #currentlyReading #art
What might quinacridone coral look like? How could it compare across different brands? There's so much cool data available here!

Post the best picture of your pet: Too many to choose! Also I think I have better Best of videos than pics. This one is special in retrospect because it was like a week before I found out I was pregnant.
Here's a nice round up of them. From: www.instagram.com/p/DOMkUYfk8jO/
I’ve got a kitty that keeps me on my toes with his mischief. He looks a lot like Mali’s illustration.
I’m not gonna share the book’s name but here’s a screenshot of the queue at one point. I eventually got to check out the book and tbqh don’t enjoy it that much.
For a while I loved painting galaxy abstracts, nebula clouds, and just neat blooms of space dust.
Sometimes there's only 15 or 30 min to paint or make something creatively. I keep the work small in little sketchbooks so it can feel like a meaningful session.
I used to spend days enjoying the experience of painting and making art. As a parent, that time is limited to early morning, late at night, or small 15-min chunks. With my recent art project on making a shapes and colors board book, those time chunks worked well!
WIP of a fun project I'm putting together for my baby. I painted shapes with a variey of colors, and I will get this printed out in a board book. That way, baby can enjoy my art, especially if it must go in his mouth!

Thinking of the Twinkies drink I saw at Dollar Tree. Only difference is that yours is alcoholic 🥴
I think you’re in the US? Here’s the brand I get. They also have a gluten free version if you’d prefer that!
A few years back I bought a 200 slot color pencil organizer case from Amazon. It’s bulky but I like how it keeps my colors organized and it’s easy to store flat into a drawer. I don’t use color pencils too often I find it a nice system for what I do!
Took this pretty swatch page and drew a Mexican sunflower on it and tried painting a loose layer on top. Of course the pen I grabbed was not waterproof. Happy little accidents 🥰
