Why is Trump’s FDA kicking the can on their so-called “review” of mifepristone to after the midterms? Because they know that restricting reproductive freedom pisses voters off - from Democrats to Republicans and Independents. Americans want more freedom - not less.
Anti-abortion extremists are more emboldened than ever. It wasn't enough for them to overturn Roe - now, they're to make it a crime to get an abortion. We know their extremism is unpopular. And we're going to make sure this November's elections prove it.
Ashley and Marcus Brandt were forced to flee Texas to get adequate maternal care. Not another country. Texas. And Texans, just like everyone else, deserve the freedom to make their own decisions about their bodies, their families, and their futures. Watch the rest: https://bit.ly/44zXes1
We know that when abortion is on the ballot, abortion wins. But that’s not going to stop anti-abortion extremists from trying to overturn the will of the 8 in 10 Americans who support the legal right to abortion. Ready to fight back? Join our volunteer team: https://bit.ly/3T3t2mI
Something that unites people across the political spectrum? Wanting the government out of their business and *not* making decisions about their bodies. 8 in 10 Americans support legal abortion. We ARE the majority 💪 With @katiephang.bsky.social
Taking away repro freedom in a country that doesn’t fully have sufficient support for families and pregnant people is cruel and outlandish. I spoke with @pressley.house.gov about how reproductive freedom is also a health care and economic issue. reproforall.org/learn/podcast-my-body-my-pod/
Anti-abortion extremists are enraged because despite their bans, people have found ways to access care. If you or someone you love needs abortion care, you can find resources at reproforall.org/resources Thanks to @alivitali.bsky.social for having me on for this important discussion.
Anti-abortion politicians have a messaging problem: the truth. Always appreciate the opportunity to join my friend and co-conspirator, @katiephang.bsky.social for some real talk.
I had the opportunity to join activists at this weekend's Abortion Access Now training, and this is what I reminded them: Abortion is more popular than any political party or candidate.
Thanks to @aliciamenendez.bsky.social and the @onthelinemsnow.bsky.social team for having me on for this important discussion.
Anti-abortion extremists were never going to stop with overturning Roe. Now they’re going after medication abortion and shield laws—and voters are pissed off. Our new My Body My Ballot campaign is going to reach voters where they are, and turn them out for reproductive freedom.
Repro Freedom Caucus Co-Chair. Fearless advocate. Truth teller. Moral force. "Who you vote for determines who is elected. Who is elected determines the policies. And the policies determine who lives, who dies, who survives, and who thrives." - @pressley.house.gov
In the latest episode of My Body. My Pod, I spoke with Rep. Jamie Raskin, @katiephang.bsky.social, and Brittany Fonteno in front of a live audience of organizers and activists about what's at stake in the fight for repro freedom. Check it out on YouTube or wherever you get your podcasts!
People won. Not because institutions suddenly did the right thing. Not because progress was inevitable. People demanded change. Every right we have today exists because ordinary people fought for it. With @democracyforward.org and @skyeperryman.bsky.social
When our rights are on the line, the answer isn't waiting for someone else to save us. It's making a plan to vote, helping a friend get to the polls, and showing up for our communities. Real change has always come from people demanding it.
Still reflecting on an incredible Activist Summit. Three days filled with learning, organizing, laughter, strategy, community, and hope. Grateful for everyone who shared their stories and recommitted to the work ahead. The future is built by those willing to fight for it. 💜
This is the reality of abortion bans. Patients experiencing medical emergencies are being forced to wait, suffer, and risk their lives because anti-abortion politicians inserted themselves into deeply personal medical decisions.
Families deserve compassion, medical freedom, and care rooted in humanity — not policies that create fear, shame, or trauma during one of the most vulnerable moments in life. Pregnancy should be met with support. Not political cruelty.
When anti-abortion politicians silence the data, families pay the price. The stories coming out of Georgia are devastating — and they are a warning sign of what happens when politicians interfere with medical care while dismantling accountability.
Abortion bans and restrictions are creating dangerous conditions for patients and providers alike, especially in states where maternal health outcomes are already failing women. This is a health care crisis.
Anti-abortion extremists will keep using every tool available to push care out of reach in every state. This is exactly why the midterm elections are critical. We need leaders at every level of government to stop these attacks.
Louisiana’s baseless case should not have gone to our nation’s highest court to begin with. It is a relief that access to mifepristone remains for now, but our work doesn’t end here. The Supreme Court must follow the law and uphold telehealth access to mifepristone.
The Virginia Supreme Court struck down the state’s congressional redistricting referendum, which was approved by voters last month in an effort to balance the scales and protect democracy.
Reproductive Freedom for All is endorsing Juliana Stratton for U.S. Senate. We’re proud to endorse a candidate committed to protecting and expanding abortion access. This is a critical moment for the future of reproductive freedom and @julianastratton.bsky.social is ready to meet it.
This stay is a temporary reprieve, not a victory. We're witnessing the most devastating assault on abortion access since Dobbs — and the dust is still settling. They want a nationwide ban, full stop. https://bit.ly/3PpivAF
Democratic AGs and Governors are holding the line when it matters most. When the Fifth Circuit sided with anti-abortion extremists and reinstated a medically unnecessary, nationwide in-person requirement for mifepristone, they said not on our watch! We won't forget it!
Like I told @19thnews.org: “American voters want to see solutions to all of these problems, and they don’t vote single issue.”
Today, the Fifth Circuit sided with anti-abortion extremists and effectively banned telehealth access to mifepristone NATIONWIDE. More than one in four abortion in the United States are provided via telehealth using mifepristone.
