Thanks Google for reminding me that SIX YEARS ago I drew a pretty okay bat. My creativity in general hasn't dissolved, but art block specifically has been going on so long I no longer have casual doodling muscle memory. I've got other creative outlets, but I do miss drawing.

Found these photos I took back in September while on a walk with my Mom 🐍

A great blue heron standing tall and alert in a very brushy pond, it's silhouette is perfectly reflected in the still, gray pond water.

The same heron in hunting mode, neck curved to strike the water.

Yesterday was a perfect autumn day in the Pacific Northwest, such dramatic lighting🍂

A few older niche ones and a common Stephen King find. The most original werewolf story here is Thor, told through the eyes of the family German Shepherd (they made a movie based on the novel called Bad Moon, but the book is completely from Thor's perspective).

Cycle of the Werewolf by Stephen King, but more notable are the incredible illustrations by Berni Wrightson
