I'm not sure, but here's another video they took on her way out. You may be able to make out the road signs in it.
Picture from a loved one that got the evac order (street sign obscured to protect her location)
I'd like to pull on this thread (see image). Why do you suppose they can't put benches on high speed roads? And if it has to do with the safety of the people on the bench, what about the people standing there at that stop?
I can't believe these are the words of a government spokesperson, instead of an internet troll. Us: We'd like our kids to be able to ride safely to school DOT: You want us to eat crickets!!
That sky is looking ugly today. A bit of ash coming down, too. It's a good thing they decided to cancel private use of fireworks in the city.
In the past few weeks, nearly every UT city police dept posted a infographic like this on FB. It's great that they're educating the public, but I don't recall a similar PR blitz last year to inform drivers of last year's new law against parking in bike lanes.
Today, I came across a tree that appears to have been grafted so that it bears completely different pink & white flowers.
Love on 2 wheels. But only if you want to see that special someone swoon.
I anxiously await their required explanations for withholding & redaction (which is also overdue).
I put on a YouTube 'video for dogs' to entertain a couple visiting furry friends. The dogs left the room in boredom, but the cat and I are absorbed watching squirrels & birds eat seeds on a stump.

The part that stuck with me in the @thewaroncars.bsky.social book was when they highlighted a developmental psychologist who, in the 70's, wrote that a 6-yr-old should be capable of traveling solo 4-8 blocks to school, store, friends, playground, etc. We've lost something important.
