Final point: was shocked to see so many people go about their day to day lives. Folk having a pint outside, playing golf, kids or acting football. Dystopian.
Aside from what the ICJ has said about any new approvals, licensing, subsidising of fossil fuels and the potential for domestic litigation shutting this down anyway these fields won’t bring energy bills down and will benefit a small few who *just so happen* to be the loudest advocates for it.
Surreal scenes on the train into Aberdeen yesterday. Smoke from 9 days of fire in the Cairngorms National Park after an extremely dry few weeks. All the while we debate new fossil fuel extraction in the North Sea.
Had a 2-hour meeting in a room with no heating this morning and then dropped and broke my favourite fish-themed mug so ended up crying in my office before going to another 2-hour meeting in another room with no heating.
Going food shopping after the road to Aberdeen has been closed for days due to bad weather was a very smart idea.
You usually see a fair few sights at Aberdeen Airport but I was not expecting to see a model of Edinburgh Castle made out of shortbread
Felt like hot shit yesterday after introducing critical international law to the 2nd years only to spill soup doon masel 5 minutes later. #stayhumble
