Beautiful day in Seattle. The Costco-exclusive Body Glove Performer stand-up paddle boards were out en masse.
There is a cat hanging out outside who looks exactly like the (kind of mean) cat who lives inside, except smaller. I’m pretty sure my cat is in danger of murdering his younger self in a time travel story gone wrong.
When there’s a crow cracking peanuts on the roof like he owns the place (he does, we don’t fuck with crows around here).
I'll never get to inbox zero, but my new goal might be to keep it at 12345.
Today I learned about a new cute animal from the random stuffy section at the grocery store. Can you guess what this is supposed to be? (Yes the soda can is part of the toy.)
Seattle trees are so confused this winter. (Context: both of these are blooming way earlier than usual and are now coated in snow.)
First snow of the winter in Seattle today! No snow day yet, but it’s still snowing.
We have one of those! Cute, but such a missed opportunity for a pun. Why not “Waremouse” or even “Waremeows??”
Merry Christmas to those celebrating. To all, I hope your day is as good as this dog’s became once she realized we were driving to grandma’s house.
Not sleeping. Ready to help me put my desk together the second I ask for help.
Got my winter break reading lined up! Side note: I was surprised to find it in the self-help section! The bookstore clerk asked me if I knew anything about the book because she shelved it there but wasn’t sure if that was the right place. So now I have a mission to read it asap and let her know.

What’s left when you try to buy donuts after 11am on a rainy Sunday in my neighborhood.
Yes, but also… (Can still feel and hear exactly how my grandmother’s felt and sounded when I would play with it at her house.)
Using one photo already on your phone, what is the announcement tomorrow at 2?
But to me, one of the most interesting results were the heterogeneities in fruit and vegetable consumption by income, race, and language among those gaining the program. The total effect was null, but the groups that did see increases were also those with lower baseline values of this outcome. 5/7
Strange confluence in my Libby holds this week & just in time for the beach (both #BookSky recs).
One of our neighborhood bunnies decided to make her nest under the Adirondack chair right outside our door. So now my pets have their own nature program/cooking show to watch.
Doomscroll got you down? Here’s Moxie, looking even more like a Jim Henson creation than usual, to cheer you up.
A little WA springtime to cleanse your timeline in case you are as sick of the news as I am. What does it look like where you are?
