Scottish and European #scotsabroad, Luxy. Proud of both my homeland and adopted country. Scottish independence supporter. Tiresome typos blamed on ebullient enthusiasm and paltry proofreading.
They are delusional. They are dependent on English funding and power. Now, if they were to become independent of London and back what it is said many of their members want - Scottish independence - that could be a winning ticket. And, for once, follow the true Labour of Kier Hardie:
Excellent article - common sense and fairness. I'd also like to see that only parties registered in the nations could participate in elections too. It is unfair that those registered in England, with their massive budgets (even due to membership) be allowed to stand in Scottish & Welsh elections.
How Nick Hancock ordered PPE manufacturers not to send supplies to Scottish care homes for the elderly in 2020 - The pandemic exposed the union for what it is. talkingupscotlandtwo.com/2026/07/15/h... www.thetimes.com/uk/healthcar...
I'll post this again - now the first para "Conservatives and centrists often make a catastrophic miscalculation: by co-opting racist language, or striking deals with the far right to hold onto power, they help normalise antidemocratic behaviour." #independenceNOW
Includes: Scotland has the lowest proportion of workers earning below the living minimum wage, 2025. Bet Andy doesn't (care to) know that.
Just rereading this beauty. So relevant to today’s world of political puppetmasters and playbooks. A classic!
Many achievements but all sneered at or ignored by a centralised government intent on keeping Scotland in its lower-order place.
Are you including Scotland in the 'our' here? Starmer has refused to comment on this. 👇 Or is it another England = UK post?
I guess you're talking about the Scottish referendum of 2014 too then. How the Scots were lied to, promised further devolution, promised EU continuity, even its HS2. But instead 👇
Of course it's normal. We grew up with it. Only now it's been weaponised as part of the "othering" to divide society. In Asia it's completely normal.
Illuminating look at UK income inequality and a comparison with other countries from May 2026. For UK nations with a concept of fairness and social conscience at their core, I.e #Scotland, it is no wonder that they strive for #independence. researchbriefings.files.parliament.uk/documents/CB...
And on top of all the good news for Scotland, today is Europe Day! Ready to welcome Scotland back into the EU. #independence is normal.
We have hard-working SNP ministers who have done so much to change Scotland for the better. Because they are a party for Scotland. It's now obvious that Scotland run and asset-stripped by England does not work. Time for a change.
