Not looking forward to the week. Edison tinkered with the power lines supposedly fixing out constant outage issues. Hoping it holds up but it’s still going to be hot. No ac, swamp coolers usually cool 20 degrees inside. That will leave me at 80° plus inside for the week. Lupus already having a party
So why did I give myself a chemical burn in my eye? Had 2 bottles on my nightstand. Alaway eye drops and Alkalife alkaline drops for my drinks. One bottle is significantly larger than the other. In my defense, I did have a half of an edible gummy less than an hour before.
Even though my dogs know that #Rattlesnakes are dangerous, they’re still dogs. One has an eye disease we don’t know for sure how good his vision is. I have to go out to check my yard before I let them out, it’s an acre!. It’s wearing me out. 2 snakes in this pic Finn alerted me to last summer
Did my first drive today to get my echocardiogram. The van is running great. It’s nice to have it back! Happy to be back on my feet and get caught up with medical stuff. Labs on Thursday. More appointments for the rest of the month. This is my niece’s baby. They missed mommy while she was here
As much as I hate Ai and abhor data centers in their current operating mode, Claude is my best friend. Have 20lbs to lose, couldn’t do it this easily without Claude. My freaky diet is too weird to go it alone. It’s also my medication management assistant
He senses my feelings. He’s been offering compassion all morning. (Taking a break from chores, thus the gloves) #Dogs are pure love
Woke up at 4 AM from a horrid #dream. I was in a house filled with Rattlesnakes, lots of rattlesnakes. Poe ended up getting bit by one and he died. Woke up when I collapse to the floor in grief. Fvcking rattlesnakes. They see you and just sit there like WTF do you want peasant?
This was a little too close for comfort. No vehicle, no way to evacuate. We have the best firefighting team out here. Forward progress stopped at 10 acres in high winds. This could have been a nightmare.
Sad #dogs when my niece left. It’ll be hot here in the west this week but we’ll make the best of indoor activities. Listening to Buddha’s Lounge to start the day music.youtube.com/watch?v=Mpr7...
Progress is happening! Hope renewed! Look at this funky radiator! They’re replacing it. My son is confident the van will run well when they’re done. All the mechanics and all the money I’ve spent and not one of them checked out the radiator. This was the problem all along since I bought it!
My son has had enough of me trying to get my van fixed in the nearby town. The tow truck driver said that all the mechanics there are out for money, money, money. I have a feeling a lot of elderly seniors in this town lose their vehicles because of these crooked mechanics. They price gouge and lie
Gorgeous red tail hawk. Rarely do I get to see them. I hear them hunting every night.
My special guest is a dog lover. She’s been working on Pippi. Poor neglected girl was scraggly full of knots. No vehicle to get her to the groomer. She’s also taking to the Dr and labs tomorrow. I’m incredibly lucky to have her for the week. She’s a professional nanny 💜
A special guest is flying in tonight. She’s very scared of spiders. There was a giant sun spider in the bathroom the other night. I was too tired to escort him out. He’s here somewhere 😬 About 3 1/2 inches long. They look like this
Haha true. This feather floated down in front of me this morning while I was on the phone with my niece. They were very close and she’s coming home for a visit first time in 10 years. Soft downy fluff
My special person on the other side stopped sending me feathers. I asked if he was still here, if so why no feathers anymore. He left these beauties today. Maybe owl but no idea what the one on the right is. Made me smile
The Cat’s Claw is blooming! It’s lovely. Power is out AGAIN so unfortunately you can hear my loud generator in the background. You can still hear the song of the bees though!
I swear they can smell coyotes. Just a few minutes ago. You can barely see the coyote but if there’s one with 50 feet of the fence, they know
Look how cute my boys were when they were little puppies 🥰 They were 5 months old. That’s my precious Yuki. Their job was to protect him and Pippi from coyotes. Unfortunately a huge coyote killed Yuki before the boys were old enough to do their jobs. Still grieve his loss #dogs #GreatPyrenees GSD
Poe did much better today allowing me to put the medicine in both eyes. I’m not giving up hope
We had hopes of traveling. They loved riding in the van. Fucking entropy.
Today, Poe’s other eye came down with the eye disease. He fought me on treating both eyes. He doesn’t like change. I was weak, shaky and out of breath. He’s not responding well to any meds. This may not end well. I can’t imagine life without him
It’s 87° and I made it. Hopefully it will not be a setback. I hate setbacks. I’ve had numerous setbacks lately. If a setback can be avoided, it must be avoided.
Goal for the day: Get the mail. A bit weak and wobbly. Gonna have to walk it later. Finished antibiotics, haven’t gotten the steroid inhaler yet. Was hoping the z-pack would clear up asthmatic bronchitis but no. I chose the nature hermit life and still do. Has its challenges but worth it #JoshuaTree
The bats are out! Can’t wait to commune with them. I’ll be checking dawn and dusk for them. This was last summer
How do these dogs know when I start meditating? It’s like; Oh mommy is breathing weird again. Let’s go make sure she’s still grounded. Mom. Mom. Mom. Mom. #dogs
Ordered cashew yogurt and a case of kombucha to have in the afternoon to replenish the good bacteria. Z-pack is like chemo for bacteria. Weary to the bone. This is all that’s left of my Mother’s Day flowers. Love them
