THE SNOW CHILD by Eowyn Ivey came out in 2012, was a 2013 Pulitzer finalist, & and I was just living life, unaware. Set in 1920s Alaska, it’s a wistful, enchanting story of friendship, family and survival, wrapped in a Russian fairytale, with rich, detailed characters-in and out of the forest.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thunder rolling in and I forgot to turn these off. This picture reminds me of the old days, when we didn’t have to worry about end times. Or worse.

E. Jean Carroll doesn’t know me but she was my friend last week when I did yard work and listened to her audiobook NOT MY TYPE. She took a difficult experience and made it inspiring. Fabulous storytelling 😁
BLACK WOODS BLUE SKY by Eowyn Ivey is beautifully written, a quiet, bittersweet escape to rugged Alaska, with a touch of magical realism. Cant wait to read her other books 🤗
Last week was tolerable because I listened to REAL EASY by Marie Rutkoski. Phenomenal ending!! I tend to rush mine - will reference this in the future.

Truth & Beauty by Ann Patchett - a harrowing and beautiful memoir about friendship, writing, and vitality. Listened to the audiobook last fall and still have snippets floating around in my mind.
