I love how it changes as it ages. Here’s a young one I found in July in far northern Minnesota

A young Dyer’s Polypore grows on the underside of the root cluster of a fallen tree.
The fungus appears moist and spongy, bright yellow in color with edges tinged in brown. It is framed by bright green blades of grass.
