J-E translator/editor. You probably know me from FMD Muramasa.
Crymelight is a bit of an odd duck, in that it's Furyu making a roguelite that draws inspiration from Hades and Slay the Spire. I found the combat pretty fun once I had a handle on zooming around and tossing enemies, and the idea of constructing poker hands with your Pick Threes is novel enough.
Anomalith is more fun than I expected. While it's a AA-tier title, it leans into its aesthetic strengths. I found the liminal spaces compelling thanks to evocative art design. The script is many levels above the average game. No curveballs yet, but Romeo quickly crafts an intriguing cast and world.
Finished Kyoto Xanadu. Difficult game to evaluate. I really like the characters and find the setting itself intriguing, but almost nothing is resolved by the end, and the final scene literally says "this is just the beginning" lol.
oh yeah I cleared RR2 BokGak the other day but it was so boring that it doesn't really feel like an accomplishment 107 turns... apparently the initial run was even worse...? lol
P ranked all of layer 4, both 4-2 and 4-3 were very difficult think I have a better handle on movement and keeping track of smaller enemies during encounters now though 4-4 was first try... V2 is a pushover
How you know Kyoto Xanadu has soul: You're allowed to pick your own team name, and it's done by giving you an ABSURDLY long list of potential names
got all P ranks in Prelude and Act I of Ultrakill on Brutal 3-1 and 2-3 gave me the most trouble so far I should probably stop being lazy and get all the secrets/challenges in Prelude too
also, my copies of the Manosaba Switch port and second artbook came in today Acacia needs to release their next two games already!!!!!!!
logging into Blue Archive to discover I have to stop playing the game because I have the perfect number of rocks
okay I beat all of Ultrakill on Brutal minus the P levels (because I'm too bad to unlock them) 1-E was substantially harder than the rest of the game, nothing else even took me an hour
finally beat Fraud in Ultrakill, just on Violent for now since I'm rusty it's pretty much as hard and as long as the rest of the game combined... I dread doing it on Brutal
I had fallen behind on the Botan anime as it was airing, so I used my Saturday to sit down and watch all of it in order from the beginning. Truly a masterpiece of an adaptation. Every episode is made with exquisite care; at no point is it simply going through the motions of adapting a manga.
finished the TEVI DLC exploration was a bit lackluster, but the boss fights were truly sick, especially the final one (which took me over 15 minutes on my winning run) overall a nice addition to the game, and it has me even more excited for Rabi-Ribi 2 I'm glad they remembered the TEVI/Vena ship
finally got the <18 turn achievement on the new Reflectrial, Middle teams go fucking hard
first data boss down decided to go with Larxene as my first since her Absent Silhouette form served as my baptism in KH2FM took about 10h30m, on par with the hardest bosses currently in DT4 hopefully not all of them take ten hours
RR6 kinda got easier as it went on I just used House of Spiders Ryoshu on everything except section 3, which is a gimmick fight anyway doesn't feel like there's any content in the game that can resist her once she's eaten her friends, and you have plenty of time to do that
Finished Mina the Hollower. Two complaints: 1) It really should have had permanent upgrades instead of just trinkets and subweapons; it would expand the possible design space significantly. 2) The story is frankly absurd. If there were more text this would be a bigger problem than it is now.
the base game was mostly very bad but I've finally reached the data room of KH3 I expect only good things from here; the future doesn't scare me at all Default Status is the only Pro Code I'm using for now, might add more depending on how the first few bosses go
this team easily clears Set floor 100 on full auto he's lost so much aura since he first launched
