The Artemis II crew are describing colors on the Moon, and it's wonderful. It is in fact rather colorful, but brightness and dust make it difficult for us to see. Here is a photo taken by astrophotographer Andrew McCarthy with the saturation emphasized to share various colors closer to the reality.
