I really don't like point cluster maps*, but am making a slippy map that's for something where multiple points at the same location should be visible. Here's one solution (offsetting the points equidistant from the origin), curious how folks feel about it.

I thought this was a neat little experiment, but yikes. People critiquing your project *is* them contributing. I'm sure some people are less polite about it than others, but this thumbing of the nose with a heap of "DIE DINOSAURS" is incredibly off-putting.
I'll bite on this – it's good manners. Makes sure if the map travels people know who and what created it. Same reason folks throw a byline on most news maps, company logo, and cite sources on the maps themselves. Accountability in the chance it's found somewhere other than your blog.
I'm ok with Instagram eating Snapchat's lunch and the ease at which you can share pictures there, but every time I interact with their linking-out policies I just want to delete the whole thing. Absolutely asinine roadblocks intentionally designed for inconvenience.

Granted when your parents can afford college tuition for K-12, and that this is what they're focusing on, does feel like a fairly self-selecting crowd that's going to succeed for reasons outside of education.
Been a fan of this map for awhile: "Monarchs and Queens" from Rebecca Solnit's Infinite City: A San Francisco Atlas. Juxtaposes butterfly habitats and queer spaces in SF.
Man, these generated art sites are depressing as hell. Easy to detect (who made these? dodgey on materials, sprouted out of nowhere last year, etc.), but hope no one's actually fooled by these. Buy local, folks!
