Nice sky 99

Roxy at 2 weeks and 2 years 😊

A kitten smiles with her eyes closed. She is mostly white, with grey ears, a grey-spotted nose, and pink around her lips. Her face is turned upwards. Now she is a chonky tortoiseshell Siamese point cat with a brown speckled face, cream under her chin and underside, and an orange strip down her nose. She is sitting on my lap. The camera focused on me as she was almost too close to the camera. I'm a white woman with long brown hair, bangs, and glasses.

These summer nights

Lucifer lost his fight with a bee, and he's definitely got some feelings about it.

Today I held my daughter's cat carrier while she drove the cat to the vet for her check-up. This is the moment she decided to pee on me.

There are four photos in a sequence. Each one has the face of Raven, a grey short-haired cat with green eyes through a mesh screen. The screen is closer to the camera and therefore is blurry. In the first photo, she is looking up towards the camera, her head is taking up 50% of the frame, her eyes are wide and pleading. The next shot is zoomed in a little more so her head is taking up 85% of the shot, Ravens looking higher up at my face here. The next shot the cat's full face is taking up the full frame, eyes still wide. We can no longer see the window behind her. In the last frame, Raven is looking to the left, eyes straight forward, away from the camera, no longer wide, but determined. Is that an evil grin on her face? The next thing that happened, and is not pictured, she turned her back to me, and I felt my leg go warm and wet.

I just found this pic of me in my husband’s files. It's in a folder labeled “letter/notes.” It was with some very mushy letters from our first few years of marriage, some drawings from the kids, and his grandfather's funeral program.
