Wildlife Refuge (June 2026 -Part 2) One of the highlights of my visit was a lifer for me. Specifically. I was able to see some my first Red Knots. Here are some pictures. They were mixed in a huge flock of other shorebirds.

A couple of weeks ago, I was able to viait my local bog. At the bog, I was able to find a Red-Shouldered Hawk's nest with at least young one. Here is a picture. On the way back, I also saw some Bald Eagles on a radio tower near my home.

Beach Birdwatching- June 2026 (Part 2) Here we have the final pictures from this trip. Specifically, I was lucky enough to get a very good view of a Piping Plover. Here is also a picture of a Great Black-Blacked Gull eating a crab.

Beach Birdwatching- June 2026 (Part 1) Last week, I went birdwatching at a beach an hour from me. I saw a lot of shorebirds, terns and gulls that were hanging out and nesting in the area. First, we have some Least Terns, and I was lucky that the Least Terns in an easy to see spot.

I also got some pictures of a pair of Mallard and a bunch of Canada Goose goslings. Aside from birds, I also saw a Black Rat Snack and a Spicebush Swallowtail. After the park, I got a donut from a nearby bakery.
