Gamers, we are so BACK 50 second PB in the category I just showed off at SGDQ, feels very good. This one was a long time coming.
Well, my listening stats for the year are fucked. I somehow streamed Stop the Fucking Car by Circa Survive on repeat all night while I slept I mean, great song, but oops lol
My run for @fastestfurs.com is coming up in about an hour!! Hope you're ready for MOUSE GAME 🐭
14. Mario Kart 64 Oh boy I've got more of these to do, huh? I want to eventually have a timesheet for every mario kart game, and this is the most interesting one to me (after DD, DS, and Wii which I've already done).
13. Mario Party DS Kind of a silly one, but I do want to some mario party runs someday. Mario party ds is the best mario party don't @ me
12. Kirby Super Star Ultra Still looking for an excuse to run this game, mku in particular seems like a lot of fun (my semi-casual time would be well within the top half of the leaderboards already lol)
11. Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe Okay I'm starting to run out a bit, but there are several kirby games that I haven't gotten around to yet that I still want to run, and honestly I'm surprised that I still haven't ran any version of rtdl yet.
10. New Super Mario Bros. (DS) Gotta have my token 2d mario game as a platformer speedrunner :) Really though this is my favorite 2d mario, and the shell is sick
9: The Lion King (SNES) A more recent addition to the backlog, this game has some bullshit difficulty that basically forces you to memorize the levels and get good at them to beat, I found it pretty rewarding to do and I feel like learning the run wouldn't be *too* hard after that
8: The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap Honestly haven't thought about it much recently, but I still think it would be fun to learn the run for this game someday, and/or learn the game enough to be able to do randomizers of it because this game is sick
7: Frogger's Journey: The Forgotten Relic ...or Frogger's Adventures 1 or 2, I told WinnerBit I would run one of the frogger gba games 8 years ago and somewhere in the back of my mind I am still planning to... someday. probably. maybe.
6: Yoshi's Island This one's a classic, been wanting to learn it for a long time but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't intimidated by how hard it looks. I'm not very good at this game lol
5. Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil I really need to get around to learning more klonoa runs, and god I love this game so much. Probably gonna be the next klonoa run I learn (so hopefully it won't take me too much longer!)
4. Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure Really neat little side scrolling beat em up, looks like a super cool run and is right at the perfect length for a speedrun imo (around 40 minutes)
3. Excitebots Trick Racing One of my iconic obscure game recommendations, this is a sick ass racing game that I've been considering running ever since I played it... almost 5 years ago now lol. I could write an essay on how good of a twist this puts on the racing game formula. Highly recommend it.
2. Spyro: Year of the Dragon Similarly to metroid, I'm a huge fan of spyro (original trilogy and reignited trilogy) and still really want to learn some spyro runs. 3 is my favorite one casually, so it's the one i would probably try learning first
(aw jeez, there's a lot of likes already) 1. Metroid: Zero Mission I'm a big 2d metroid fan and have been meaning to run one for forever, zero mission is the one I think I'm most interested in
Set my goal for today as a 1:16, managed to get a 1:15! In second place, feeling good about my progress so far
