Drop Some Wings (also this book rocks and you should buy it and read it!)
There was a specific dub of the 1959 Soviet animated Snow Queen that I had on VHS as a kid that I LOVED. It had a 90's esque synth score and the dubbing was very awkward. There is a more common dub of that movie that exists today that has a live-action Christmas prologue, but I loved my version.
Which Star Trek crash out is your favourite? "The Loss" (Deanna is perfectly justified in her fear and anger, and this is one of Marina Sirtis' all-time outstanding performances)
If any clueless cishet chuds bemoan why they don't get a pride month, have them talk to their doctor about it.
This probably wasn't the IDEAL entry point into the Gunmetal Olympus series, but I had a fabulous time with it, and would highly recommend it! It's on itch.io and Kindle!
Ok, so this is mine. The two big dinosaur clade names, saurischia and ornithischia, are applied to the WRONG groups! I know it has to do with hip shape, but WHYYY aren't the ornithischian dinosaurs the bird-like therapods?!??? Bird is in the name! Stegosaurs rock, but they don't look like birds!
Just finished this, and really enjoyed it (Kind of The Expanse meets Mass Effect), but I have to say fuck you Amazon for plastering that "Only from Audible sticker over the entirety of the second co-author's name! #Booksky 📚💙
*I approach you, sobbing openly with a crazed fire in my eyes* PLEASE READ THIS BOOK! IT'S KIND AND JOYOUS AND OPTIMISTIC AND HOPEFUL AND WILL RESTORE YOUR FAITH THAT HUMANITY ISN'T DOOMED AND THAT GOOD PEOPLE EXIST AND CARE FOR OTHERS! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 #Booksky 📚💙
Oh maybe they've changed it. I was just going by what Wikipedia said.
Ok, so no joke, this week has been ridiculous and overwhelming, and I had Magica Riot in my Kindle wishlist. I had just finished my previous book, so I grabbed it and started reading, and by the end of Chapter 2, I was all;
Shout out to Ozma, the best Oz character. Also, the world needs a story where adult Ozma and her wife Dorothy have adventures together.
He really is! I love when he's feeling a bit angsty and breaks out the amazing black outfits for maximum effect.
Bang Bang Bodhisattva by Aubrey Wood. Spectacular worldbuilding, nuanced likeable characters, lots of rage, and a sense of humour that just worked for me.
Shout out to this outrageous diva. I love her so much and I think more people should embrace this sort of wardrobe. #StarTrek
He's an evil sexy scumbag in The Island of Doctor Moreau, and so alas, it is my fave of his...
It's an all-female theatre troupe from Japan and they ROCK! They do musicals (among other stuff). So if anyone knows who the female Carl Andersen is, they will absolutely know!
49 minutes?!! It is snowing currently and has been snowing for the past few hours... Get it together, weather app!
And I'm just going to chuck these here, too, even though their screentime AS captain is sadly not super long.
My four favourite Star Trek captains (This is actually an impossible choice to just pick 4)
That's how we got Star Crash! We need more unhinged space fantasy like that.
Next up is their most recent release, and that's The Fall of a Rebel Angel, and it is SUCH a return to form. The final track "Amen" is UTTERLY GORGEOUS, and feels like someone throwing off the oppression of religious trauma. It made me cry the first time I heard it.
...is used is ALL of their albums. I dunno. It makes my brain happy every time it comes up. Anyway, moving on, their next album was Seven Lives Many Faces, and this is a return to their fantasy albums. Now, this has songs that I REALLY like and songs that I actively dislike. I think the issue is...
...and figuring out your identity. I didn't LOVE this one, but it's still pretty good. "Following the Sun" is a great pick-me-up. Next up is the album that got me back into Enigma in a big way, and that's A Posteriori, a sci-fi album that leans into electronica in a big way. It throws back to...
