Wow. I’ve finished Evie King’s book, Get Ahead of Being Dead. I’ve also reviewed it… Here it is… 🫡😍 @christinamartin.bsky.social

My review of Evie’s book reads… I have had a Will since my 20s. I've already written several versions of my eulogy as I've aged, and I've even attempted to do a Lasting Power of Attorney. I figured I was all set for dying. Then I read this book.
It is, quite simply, the most incredible workbook, information provider and support for living, as well as dying. I laughed, I definitely cried... it's a philosophical, life-affirming, encouraging, supporting, kind and wonderful book. Just like Evie herself, I imagine. It is something that will be there to hold the hands of your loved ones when you die, or are incapacitated.
It made me realise that I have plenty to do, to make sure that my wishes for my care in incapacity as well as in death, are known.
Quite simply.... You need to read this book too.

My wonderful Dad, holding me. He was unusual for the 60s… present at my birth, the first to hold me, and regularly changed my nappies. A kind, liberal man, he was 74 when I lost him, and it hurts every day. 🥺🥰

Ventured out to the patio briefly as it’s in shade by this time. Found a lil slo worm on the patio. Put some water near it and left it. Just been out and there’s no sign anywhere so he’s ok 🥰🥰
