Vine Maples (Acer circinatum) bent over with age and the weight of a sizeable moss collection in a British Columbia Forest. Older Vine Maples typically do this, and are capable of rooting from the branches again if they are touching the ground. The foreground ferns are mostly Western Sword Fern with some new spring growth.
