I am reminded of this lovely piece of Pride art from 2019 by Syd Moncrief.

If I am over 5’ (feet) tall, I am also over 5” (inches) tall, yes. Also, I double-checked in Wikipedia which mark denotes feet and which inches. And before you start with me about the prime symbol versus an apostrophe, they look the same on my keyboard.

I can’t help but be reminded of a Chicago Tribune tweet during the Rio Olympics commemorating Corey Cogdell-Unrein‘s medal in trap shooting. The tweet read, “Wife of a Bears' lineman wins a bronze medal today in Rio Olympics.” To your point, the Chicago Tribune apologized.

Whenever I hear about Trump’s ability to warp reality, I remember Ulysses Grant losing his patience over similar fears about Lee:

A passage about Grant losing his temper over people fretting about what Lee would do; I don’t remember where it’s from. “…capturing two northern generals. Panic spread all the way to Grant's headquarters, where a distraught brigadier galloped up on a lathered horse to tell the Union commander that all was lost-that Lee was repeating Jackson's tactics of a year earlier in these same woods.
