I don't want to start a fight with either OP, but this is not only two situations that aren't comparable, Jesse's analysis of the situation is ahistorical, which is impressive given it's about things that happened only a year and change ago.

I got curious and checked to see if any context was missing. While her actual point was decent--"oh my god stop making people panic about what they're eating"--the text of the post sadly doesn't bring up your core argument. I do like her final bullet point though.

I skimmed her timeline and I'm pretty sure this is the first time she's been ratio'd. Well-earned, I'd say.

She posted this in response to people not being sufficiently respectful after the murder of a fascist whose rhetoric supported violence against women, people of color, queer people, and non-Christians, and in defense of the Bluesky moderation team blocking people for not holding back their contempt in response to his death.

It has about 1800 likes and about 1900 replies, thus qualifying as a "ratio," which might be her first.
