#053: Hoppers (2026) It's been a good long while since Pixar not only had a great film, but a HILARIOUS one. While it had a decent environmental message and theme, what sold the movie for me was take on animal society at large and the outlandishly funny lengths this movie went to deliver laughs.

My vacation ends on Wednesday, so it's time to begin the end of my Metroid marathon with my first ever playthrough of Metroid Dread! My schedule will go back so some sort of variety instead of focusing on one game after that, I have ideas in mind. twitch.tv/mugiwarajm

Joshua was a legend and quickly became an icon during the 2010s Otakon conventions I attended. Even after Otakon left Baltimore and I moved onto other cons, I still thought about his unforgettable sales rhyme and hoped he was still doing his thing. I even drew fanart of him in 2012. Rest in Peace.

#052: Supergirl (2026) While not as good as last year's Superman, I still had fun time with this one. Milly Alcock is a great Supergirl. I think this could've worked better as a mini-series. Lobo felt tacked on but Jason Momoa killed it as the character and I need more of him in the future.

#050: Deltarune Chapter 4 (2025) (Replay) One of the strongest chapters yet as really drives the everything forward, has more incredible earworms, and some of the sprite animation work is some of this team's best they've ever done.

#049: Deltarune Chapter 3 (2025) (Replay) While it does move the plot and characters forward just a little bit, it's largely a comedic in-between chapter, which I don't disapprove of because Tenna is a laugh riot and a half and so is my stupid boy Rouxls.

#048: Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024) (Rewatch) Still the best of the trilogy thus far. Nearly faithfully adapts Shadow's story to the letter, reminding everyone why he has been one of the most popular characters in the franchise. Some nitpicks here and there, but it's still a great time.

#047: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022) (Rewatch) Where the first film was a show of confidence that a "live-action" Sonic film could be done, Sonic 2 was a follow-up on those good graces and wasn't afraid to bring in more lore from the games. I don't get why people hate the wedding scene, it's a riot!

#046: Metroid Fusion (2002) Anything feels like a step up after Other M, but Fusion is in this limbo where it's simultaneously better than and not as good as Super Metroid. Not crazy about the linear railroading and the soundtrack could be better, but I love the bigger emphasis on horror.

#045: My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2 (2026) Another great season! The poppy, comic book-esque art direction looks even better this time around. Thoroughly enjoyed the insight to characters from both this and the main series. Honestly I feel like I'm coming around to prefer this over it!

#044: The Dark Crystal (1982) Nice to see Jim Henson attempt to adapt genres outside what he was largely known for. The Skeksis are hilariously disgusting and evil creatures and were my highlight. My only complaint is the protagonists leave a lot to be desired both narratively and design-wise.

And I'm even dressed for the occasion!
